Any data like pictures and music that are saved to the SD card will not be touched. If you have any Google contacts, these are already synced to Google. Once the reset has been performed you will go to People>Menu>Import/ Export> Import from SD card> Phone. This will save all you contacts to your SD card. This is done by opening the People application then tap Menu>Import/ Export>Export to SD card then choose Phone Contacts. You will be able to save any Phone contacts to your SD card. Please note that this will remove any data you have on the device’s internal memory.

I've done everything short of a factory reset so I'll update this tomorrow to let everyone know the results. I did contact HTC and I've cut and past their reply below. I tried using the "timeriffic" app and it didn't work for me. I have been having the same issue since I purchased my phone at the end of December.

It seems that the software update fixed that problem. I am now running Software Version 1.08.652.11 710RD - this update was supposed to fix the battery-indicator issue that was present on some phones, including mine. Oh also - I'm not sure if this problem coincided with the download/installation of the Android 4.0.3 software update. I'm confident that SOMEONE can figure this out. My last two phones (a Motorola Razr (the original pink flip one) from Verizon, and an LG Chocolate Touch from Verizon) had no problems with their alarms and I relied solely on those for years and years. I hate the BEEP-BEEP-BEEP of traditional alarms (it is terrifying to wake up to that noise) and I can't wake up to music, so the alarm on my phone is the best option. Someone please tell me you have had this problem and know of a fix. I don't think this is how the phone is supposed to function. Then it "woke up" and "refreshed" itself and the time switched to 9:30am. At 9:30am, I turned the screen back on and noticed that for 2-3 seconds the clock still said 7:01am. For example, I turned the screen off at 7:01am this morning. If the screen is off for a long period of time (more than 2 hours), the phone does not seem to update the time. I am beginning to think that my phone is going into "too deep" of a sleep mode. This happens with the stock alarm as well as " Alarm Clock Xtreme Free" and " Alarm Clock Plus". When that goes off, I press the power button once on my phone, wait 2-3 seconds, and the 4:15 and 4:25 alarms begin to go off.
Now, I have started using a standard alarm clock, set to 4:30am. Not even one of them! This is a new problem - during the first month or two of having the phone the alarms worked perfectly. I press the power button once to turn the screen off, after double- and triple-checking that all of the alarms are set.Īnd here comes the problem: the alarms NEVER GO OFF. I go to bed around 10pm, with a fully-charged phone. The 5:15 alarm is a backup in case I turn off the first two alarms, and is the latest I can wake up. The 4:15 alarm is my main alarm, but I know I won't actually get out of bed until 4:25 (hence the second alarm). I have 3 alarms set in the morning: 4:15am, 4:25am, and 5:15am. I've been having an off-and-on issue with the stock alarm on my HTC One V.
